You can contribute to the First Annual NAMI
Florida Walk for the Mind of America in several ways:
Form a Walk Team
Join an existing Team
Walk as an Individual
Sponsor a Walker
Be a business/organization sponsor
Make a general donation
You can register online, by
mail, fax, or email.
(To register by
hand on a form, go to the Walk
Participation Form section of the left menu under
NAMI WALK on the NAMI Florida website.)
To register online
through NAMI National’s website, you can do the
following:

1. Go to the NAMI National
website at
http://www.nami.org
.
2. Click on NAMIWALKS in the left menu.
3. Click on the state of Florida in the map of the United
States.
4. Click on Tallahassee walk.
5. You will now see the NAMI Florida walk
page. On the
right side are two boxes, one to participate in 3 ways,
and another box to support in 3 ways.
6. If you want to:
a. create a walk team,
click on “Form a walk team” in the top right
box.
b. join
an established walk team, click on “Join an
existing team” in
the top right box.
c. walk
individually, without being part of a team, click
on “Walk as
an individual” in
the top right box.
d. sponsor
a walker, click on “Sponsor a walker”
in the second right
box.
e. be a general or organization
sponsor of the NAMI Walk, click on
the “Be an event sponsor”
in the second right box.
f. to make a general donation to
NAMI Florida, click on “General
donation” in the right second
box.
7. You will be taken to a page to “Create
a Sign-In
Account” (for new users) or “Sign-In” (for
returning
registered NAMI National website users). If a new
user, you should fill out the form (name, address, email,
etc) and click on “Submit.”
8. Proceed as directed, following the instructions
in the
website text. (Walk team captains and individual
walkers can also create web pages for sponsorship
outlined in the directions provided.)
